Easy to use and efficient solution
Using the Walking Desk
You really want a Walking Desk but you wonder if it is right for you?
It's very simple: step on the treadmill, place your laptop on the desk, adjust the desk to your preferred height (directional control on the left side) and then turn the treadmill on (on/off on the console). The Treadmill will start out slowly until it reaches the speed you selected on the console. We recommend that you start slowly and gradually increase your speed as you become more comfortable.
When you are finished with your session, simply press the STOP/PAUSE button and the Treadmill will gradually come to a stop.
If you feel unsteady and apprehensive, you can attach the safety cord by the clip on your pants or jacket: if you stop walking, you will pull on the cord, which will detach from the console, and the Treadmill will stop immediately. There is no risk of falling while the Treadmill is running.
You ask yourself: Can I really do two things at the same time, walk and work on a computer, or walk and read a book?
The first time, it is normal to concentrate on walking. You are not used to the treadmill and are afraid of falling off, which is normal. But after a few minutes of use, you will begin to get used to the mat and find your rhythm. This should allow you to feel comfortable and relaxed when you walk, without stomping or walking too fast, but at your normal walking pace. You will gradually forget that you are walking and will be able to concentrate on your intellectual work. The idea of the Walking Desk is very simple: it is about stretching your legs, finding your natural walking reflexes, forgetting that you are walking, and concentrating on your work: emails, videos, phone calls, reading... And you will see that you too can work while walking!
The Walking Desk treadmill is a "walking" treadmill, it is not designed for running. Counter-intuitively, a treadmill is more powerful than a treadmill. This is because when you run, you are mostly "in the air" between each impact of your feet on the ground (you are in the air for about 50% of the cycle). When you walk, you always have one of your two feet in the air, so the motor has to pull your body along all the time.
Also, to run, you need space to avoid bumping into each other, to avoid losing your balance and to be able to swing your arms.
So if you also want to run it is better to have a treadmill and a treadmill, which are two different devices.

Recommendations for use
How will you be able to use your Walking Desk?
What is the recommended daily walking time?
The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends 30 minutes of brisk walking per day.
What is the recommended number of daily steps?
The WHO recommends 10,000 steps per day, or about 1.5 km, or 1 hour of walking. This may sound like a lot, but most of us take about half that number (4,000 to 6,000) in a typical day. This means that you only need to add 4,000 to 6,000 steps a day to make 10,000, which is the recommended 30 minutes of walking.
What is the recommended walking speed?
There is no recommended speed, as everyone walks at the speed that suits them. However, we observe that users walk on average between 2.5 and 3 km/h.
The recommended position for sustained work of several hours is as follows:
You ask yourself: Will I have to walk all day? Will I use it with other colleagues?
The Walking Desk is usually placed in an accessible location in your workplace, in a breakout area, in a meeting room or in a dedicated room. The idea is to go to the Walking Desk at any time of the day when you want to stretch your legs after several hours of sitting. You then take your laptop and walk to the Walking Desk while continuing your work. When you are done, you leave it free for your colleagues. The Walking Desk is therefore used in a shared way. It does not replace your relaxation breaks or the sports you usually do. It is complementary: it gives you an alternative to sitting during your working day. And for those who really don't have the time to go walking, they can finally do it without wasting time thanks to the Walking Desk.
It is best to walk in comfortable shoes and avoid high heels. If you don't wear your street shoes, you can keep a pair of sports shoes (running shoes) at the office. In any case, avoid walking on the carpet with high heels.
You don't need to wear any special workout clothes; you can walk in your work clothes. However, make sure you are comfortable so that you can enjoy the benefits of walking and concentrate on your work without being hindered by tight-fitting clothes that would impede your movements.
