What is ActivUP?
I. The birth of the project
It all started in 2013 when I started with a simple observation: I needed to do more physical activity, but like many, I didn't have the time. So I decided to cobble together a treadmill that could fit under a desk. I ended up walking for hours and hours on this mat and it felt great. I could be physically active while working. I was able to walk 500 km in a month without realizing it. And thanks to this, I lost 12 kg in two years. So I decided to embark on the Walking Desk adventure and to become the leader of this innovative concept thanks to ActivUP.
II. The turning point during the Covid-19 pandemic
It was during the health crisis that the success of the project took a turn. The implementation of telecommuting and confinement created many concerns for employees: loss of focus and productivity, increased stress, decreased physical activity...The Walking Desk proved to be an effective solution to this. Employees could work while enjoying the benefits of walking.
